Why haven't written on this blog? Just don't ask, alright?

The only reason I even am writing on it is cause I took some new pictures (that I had to take for a photography class at school) and I kind of felt bad for my poor neglected blog. But then again if I felt bad I would have written awhile ago... The pictures above are of what was out in the backyard today, summed up in four pictures.

Mom was out and dad was on a couponing spree. You know those huge $1,000 coupon books that you buy and never use? Well he had one and was determined to use it. He would tell us "Only 7,210 more to go... Now only 7,209!" WE actually had a lot of good bonding time, even if we spent a lot to save a lot.

This is just a little taste of why my blog has been neglected. I have been a nanny machine these past two weeks! These boys sure know how to keep me on my toes. And they sure know how to make me laugh! [what they say usually evolves into a twitter post of some sort]

At one point:

they thought that they were playing Obama in Mario Kart, while really it was just a MK champ living in Mexico
a glass cup was dropped
Chloe pretended she was throwing up [she chewed up some carrots and drank some milk] and the one in the scout uniform above says in a shocked voice "Uh oh!!! I've got a weak stomach!" Then went on to throw up onto the floor. Not once, but twice.
we watched Hercules
they took long metal rods and used the trees outside as pinatas
there were meltdowns about homework
we made silly videos & danced to Lady Gaga
one of the boys [one is snake shirt above] told his brothers that he knew where milk came from ... [i refrain from writing the rest]
the snake boy shouted "LOOK AT ME, I'M SEXY!"
[look at picture number five, on the left, read that word] that's all they wanted to do. [and that is a skull underneath it, if you were wondering...]

After the patience I've had over the course of the last 2 weeks,

I am guaranteed to be a good mom!

for my moms 50th birthday we went to the bahamas!

it was really beautiful and the people there were so welcoming. the resort we stayed at had the most amazing beach, soft sand and blue water.

they were these little deep fried balls of conch meat and peppers. so good!

It's monsoon season here in AZ people!

and that means one happy peri.

last night i stood outside with a huge huge grin on my face! it rained and it pored and our backyard was flooding like crazy.

my favorite part is when a huge lightning bolt would make the sky bright and then our house would start to shake moments later! I really love monsoons.

oh and i put the flowers on here because i figured the two kinda go together.

you think he's asleep and you're tiptoeing around then out of nowhere he says "goo goo ga ga" or "mommy."

for a couple of weeks now in seminary we've been keeping up on our pjs.

....

everynight before going to bed I see to all of these things being done.

and even though I forget most of the time,

i say my prayers in the morning too.

i have noticed that since i started,

i have been able to see the Lord's hand in my life each day.

also...

when i am not thinking very nice thoughts about others,

i instantly start feeling guilty and seeing them as a child of God.

....

this challenge has helped me in so many ways

and has helped me get into good habits.

officially i have started eating better:

1. no treats
2. more veggies+fruit

it may not be the biggest, most best, "diet" you've ever heard of but , i think it's workin.

when i crave something sweet i pull out the naked juice.

when i crave food in general i grab a banana.

yep yep yep. 2 days in, 12 more to go.

one small step for any other person, and one giant leap for peri.

basically.

i wish that it was still fall break. really though, school is school.

and fall break is well... really fun!

all i did was hang out with friends and get stuff done.

so what if i spent too much time on fb.

it wasss break.

now back to the real world:

not going to hang out with Tay at ten in the morning
waking up at 6:15
not being able to recklessly spend your money the whole day through
coming home and remembering that there is hw to be done
having to study for spanish tests
not being able to just go lay down a take a nice nap
sitting in a chair for close to 6 hours
and really just being bored

i need something to spice up my life...

and i need it fast.

until then, i'll take my silly friends and my crazy family and make the best out of school life.

p.s: it feels so wonderful outside, but the leaves are still green.

he's just havin the time of his life down in El Salvador.

he already has a baptizm scheduled for saturday.

i mean how could i not be so proud?

i'm so thankful for his example and for his choice to serve the Lord by

teaching what he knows to be the truth.

in his last letter he wrote that the people love gringos down there!
